2020 needs to be over. As the year drags on, I find myself eagerly awaiting the year end. I don’t believe there will be much difference between January, 2021 and November, 2020 in terms of social distancing protocol. But, after so many months of this new lifestyle, I look forward to any markers indicating a passage of time. So as we creep to this one small finish line, check out these upcoming Bookish Events to help yourself make it there.

Michele Cobb — a recognized expert in the audio publishing industry, Publisher of both AudioFile Magazine and MMB Media LLC.

Amy DiGiovine is an advisor at Harvard’s Office of Career Services, focusing on Arts, Entertainment, Media, Advertising, Journalism, Publishing, Fashion, Sports, & Pre-Law.

Amy Gallo is an expert in conflict, communication, and work place dynamics. She is the author of the HBR Guide to Dealing with Conflict, a how-to guidebook about handling conflict professionally and productively.

Just because we can’t physically explore NY as it is, doesn’t mean we can’t explore it as it was. What’s bound to be an interesting seminar for any Age of Innocence fans out their, this event will feature a discussion and photographs of the city Wharton documented in her novels. See the extravagance and opulence found in the upper echelons of an early 19th century NY.

Roxane Gay, Tracy Lynne Oliver, and Rebecca Kirby discuss the adaptation of Gay’s short story “We are the Sacrifice of Darkness” into a graphic novel. Gay has previously described the medium of graphic novels, saying “In many ways, it’s like Twitter […] You have to really think about what you want to say and why.” Learn more about this reimagining process and the novel next week!
