A Message From the President

In light of the rapid spread of COVID-19 we have made the difficult decision to postpone all in-person WNBA-NYC events until we learn it’s safe.

In the meantime we are looking into what events and discussions can be live streamed, or rescheduled for later this year. If you have an idea for a virtual program, feel free to reach out to programs@wnba-nyc.org with your suggestion.

We also encourage you to keep in touch with us by subscribing to our updates or, contributing your own post. Contact us at blog@wnba-nyc.org for more details.

We are a community of strong bookish individuals. Stay strong, be well, and read.

Best,
Laurel Stokes
President, WNBA-NYC

About Blog Editor

The Women’s National Book Association was founded in 1917 by female booksellers who weren’t allowed in the men’s organizations. Nearly 100 years later, the WNBA is still supporting women in the book industry through literary events, networking, literacy projects, workshops, open mic nights, book clubs, and many other entertaining programs throughout the season!
