Hello WNBA-NYC,
With the Spring 2020 season winding down, WNBA-NYC is looking for volunteers to fill the following board positions for Fall 2020. Acting on the board is a fantastic way to meet other members of the publishing industry and gain experience for your resume. More importantly, joining the board means you’ll have influence over the growth of our organization during these interesting times. It is a great way to stay connected to other book lovers in a time when social distancing is paramount.
Membership Chair
This position entails tracking the NYC membership numbers and reporting them to the treasurer in a timely manner, as well as working with the President of the chapter to coordinate two annual membership drives in the fall and spring. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain project management skills, come up with creative membership campaigns, and understand a non-profit organizations inner workings. This role will require 3-4 hours per month.
Social Media Coordinator
Collaborate with our Newsletter Manager and VP of Communications to share WNBA-NYC news and events across all our social media channels.This role will require about 3 hours per month.
Newsletter Writer
Collaborate with our Newsletter Manager to contribute two articles a month to the WNBA-NYC blog. One article will be an assigned piece related to chapter events, while the second will enable you to write about topics that interest you!
