June — bare skin, beaches, ice cream trucks, and summer Fridays that let happy hour start at noon. The world a year ago, and the world today hardly feel the same — though I wonder sometimes if it’s really the world that’s changed or more so my perceptions of it. But if you’re looking for something constant to tether you back to simpler times, know that you’ll always have bookish events. These events may not be in person, and some might be more notably tied to current events — but there will always be books and there will always be people who want to talk about those books. WNBA-NYC Annual Meeting
Who could possibly wait until December to reflect on the year we’ve had? Join us tonight for this annual chapter meeting of the Women’s National Book Association to review the end of this year’s programming season, and to discuss our plans come September. As I mentioned before — there will always be books. In this panel, authors Linda Rosen and Barbara Solomon Josselsohn will discuss their experiences publishing their novels during the Covid-19 pandemic.
