Young Adult fiction has exploded in popularity in recent years, with many adults embracing the books just as eagerly as teens. Also embracing YA fiction this week is Greenpoint’s independent bookstore WORD. WORD aims to sate the literary appetite of the Brooklyn community with its excellent calendar of events. This Thursday, August 30th, WORD will be hosting a YA Night with Meagan Brothers, Patricia Dunn, and Louise Rozett. There will be a joint reading from the three authors, followed by a Q&A session.
Meagan Brothers is the author of Supergirl Mixtapes, which was a 2012 YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults nominee. Patricia Dunn is the author of the anticipated Rebels by Accident. Louise Rozett is the author of Confessions of an Angry Girl, the first in her Confessions series. Together, these women represent some of the best new talent in the genre.
