This week, one of the most well-known independent bookstores in the city, Strand Books, is teaming up with the famous literary journal, The Paris Review. The result? A Monthly Literary Salon – the first in an ongoing literary event series on the second Wednesday of every month. This Wednesday, June 13th, join Strand Books in their 3rd floor Rare Book Room for readings from The Paris Review archives. The readings will be done by actor/playwright Wallace Shawn and actress Martha Plimpton, and wine will be served.
The event will be held at the Strand at 828 Broadway at 12th Street, from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM. In order to attend, patrons must buy a copy of the current The Paris Review or a $15 Strand gift card. For more information on the event, visit the event page on the Strand’s website.
