Was this book part of anyone else’s high school curriculum? Following the freshman year of a teenage rape victim, Melinda’s fear, uncertainty, and trauma are so palpable in the novel. It’s been a long time since I’ve read it, but the book’s impact still resonates with me, and I’m looking forward to Anderson’s reading.
