HW-signAsk Roulette: 2nd Anniversary Special Show!

It’s the Second Annual Ask Roulette where strangers ask each other any question they want, big or small, in front of a live audience. You can only ask a question once you’ve answered one. If you prefer, you can just be part of the crowd. Questions are serious or silly, and answers are short or long. Over the course of the evening, you’ll get unexpected connections, surprising anecdotes, and honest conversation. You’ll also laugh. There is also an after party at Botanica Bar, starting at 9pm.

The works of Edgar Allan Poe have frightened and thrilled readers for more than one hundred-fifty years. Terror of the Soul—inspired by the preface to Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque—explores Poe’s poetry, fiction, and literary criticism. The exhibition will feature nearly one hundred items, drawn primarily from the Morgan’s holdings and The Henry W. and Albert A. Berg Collection of English and American Literature at The New York Public Library, two of the most important collections of Poe material in the United States. In addition, a number of exceptional private collection loans will also be on view.
