WNBA-NYC Chapter Board Meeting
Ever wonder how you can get more involved in WNBA-NYC decisions? Come to a Chapter Board Meeting. All board meetings are open to members—a good way to find out what’s happening in the chapter, meet board members, and express your opinion! There are open volunteer and board positions, too!

Query Roulette
Query Roulette 2012
WNBA-NYC’s Query Roulette is a round-robin style event that matches one-on-one meetings between authors and literary agents. Those seeking publishing advice on the all-important query letter, can get it from up to ten literary agents in one night! Fees begin at just $35.00 for WNBA-NYC members and decrease per appointment based on the number booked, it’s also one of the most cost-effective.
Available slots are filling quickly so hurry and register. We will also need volunteers to help set up before the event and help out during the event. Email query@wnba-nyc.org (subject: QR volunteer help).

How to successfully publish your own book: An Evening of Discussion with Industry Experts, a joint program with the Book Industry Guild of NY
Is there a manuscript on your hard drive or in your desk drawer that you’d love to publish? Not sure if it should be published in print or as an e-book? How will you market and publicize it when it’s published? Just interested in learning what self-publishing means in today’s digital marketplace? Today there are many good reasons to self-publish that book and many ways to do it. Our panel of industry insiders and successful self-published authors will provide nuts and bolts information about the promises and pitfalls of self-publishing. Come hear what they have to say and bring your questions, too. There will be an opportunity for networking before and after the program.

Write Relationships: Authors, Editors, and Agents
A Panel Discussion Sponsored by Women’s National Book Association, NYC Chapter and New York University Creative Writing Program
Join us to hear from our prominent authors, agents, and editors. They will explain how these important relationships develop and thrive. We will learn about fruitful relationships behind successful book launches, what works and what doesn’t work. There will be time for questions.
