Epic FilmsHarikleia Sirmans wrote the index to The Encyclopedia of Epic Films by Constantine Santas, James M. Wilson, Maria Colavito, and Djoymi Baker, which will be available April 2nd.

 

 

 

Good-to-Her-by-Enid-HarlowEnid Harlow will give a reading from her new novel, GOOD TO HER, at Bluestockings Bookstore, 172 Allen Street (corner of Stanton) NYC, on Friday, April 18, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

 

 

WNBA-SF Chapter member Mary Mackey is coming to NYC from April 9 to 15 to do two poetry readings both launching her latest collection of poetry Travelers With No Ticket Home published by NYC based Marsh Hawk Press. //www.marshhawkpress.org/.Sugar Zone, Mary’s last collection of poetry, won the 2012 PEN Oakland Josephine Miles Award.

Harriet Shenkman‘s poem “Stones on a Grave” will be published in the next issue of Evening Street Press. In addition, she was a finalist in the Raynes Poetry Competition of Jewish Currents and her poem “Coney Island Union” will be published in an anthology of poetry by the Blue Thread publishing imprint.

Amazon Breakthrough NovelSandi Perry, a new member, has made the first round in Amazon’s Breakthrough Novel Contest for her contemporary women’s fiction book, THE ART of STEALING. Wish her luck!

 

 

 

Agnes Irene will give a presentation on her Christmastime Series at the Fort Myers Beach Library on March 20th. The third book in the series will be out in the fall. She will also hold a book signing on March 21st at Annette’s Book Nook in Fort Myers Beach.

 

 

jamie_autisticJoan Regen-Ramirez‘s book signing for her first book–Jamie is Autistic: Learning in a Special Way took place at the North Bergen Library on March 18th. She was recently interviewed in a parent magazine. In addition, she’s writing a sequel (for adult professionals) of her handbook:Go for it Leadership Handbook for All Students. Copies have also been purchased in the UK.

 

 

Sarah Burninghamappeared on a few NPR program’s – national program The Takeaway and KQED’s The Forum (San Francisco NPR affiliate) – talking about Sheryl Sandberg’s Ban Bossy campaign and her new book GIRL TO GIRL: Honest Talk About Growing Up and Your Changing Body (published by Chronicle Books, out in January 2014). By day, she runs a boutique PR firm specializing in authors: www.littlebirdpublicity.com
