Season Kick-Off: Networking Party

NetworkingCelebrate the WNBA 2017-2018 Season Kick-Off at the Networking Party!

On September 12, 2017, join fellow WNBA-NYC members at the Networking Party from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM. RVSP here!

Where can you meet new friends, catch up with old colleagues and have some great food all in one night? Our Annual Networking Party to kick off the WNBA 2017-2018 season! We are also celebrating 100 years of bringing together women and men to connect, educate, advocate, and lead in the publishing world.

The networking party is a great opportunity to hear different stories about how people became writers, started their own businesses, or found their dream jobs. After the event closes, you’ll take home fresh ideas and inspiration to help guide you to whatever path you are on in your career.

This is not a traditional panel event, but rather is an informal gathering with giveaways. Every attendee comes in with his or her own goals and leaves with a new perspective. At an event like this, you never know who you are going to meet. Sign up for the chance to meet new members, connect with friends, and maybe introduce yourself to members you’ve seen around but never met!

This will be a great year for the WNBA-NYC as we celebrate the Centennial! Start off the season right at the Networking Party, then join us for exciting upcoming events including the Brooklyn Book Festival and the WNBA-NYC Reading Group. This is a big anniversary year: not only are we celebrating the WNBA’s Centennial but it’s also the 10th anniversary of the Great Group Reads!

The Women’s National Book Association was founded in 1917 by female booksellers who weren’t allowed in the men’s organizations. Nearly 100 years later, the WNBA is still supporting women in the book industry through literary events, networking, literacy projects, workshops, open mic nights, book clubs, and many other entertaining programs throughout the season!
