CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

WNBA LOGO

If you are a member of the WNBA-NYC, then you know what an active and robust community we are; and we are that way because of the dedicated members who take the time to make this organization great. We could use a few more good women to help keep the momentum going and we hope to hear from you. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with our blog and our newsletters. If one of your new year’s resolutions was to get more involved, here is your chance.

What we are looking for: Someone to oversee the management of the blog who has the technical skills to upload and post interesting and timely pieces and to develop a regular schedule for content. We are also interested in improving our visibility and want someone to work to encourage our members to visit the blog regularly. The Blog Editor will work with members who are interested in contributing guest posts that will be of interest to fellow members – recaps of book or industry events around town, recaps of WNBA-NYC events, book reviews, member profiles, etc.

About Blog Editor

The Women’s National Book Association was founded in 1917 by female booksellers who weren’t allowed in the men’s organizations. Nearly 100 years later, the WNBA is still supporting women in the book industry through literary events, networking, literacy projects, workshops, open mic nights, book clubs, and many other entertaining programs throughout the season!
